Footloose The Musical 2017 tour (Zee Tay)

Tuesday, 5 September 2017

Last Wensday I went to see Footloose at the Lyceum here in Sheffield. It an amazing story aboutr a town who banned dancing. (I know stupid right) this is based on a true story. It follows the story of Ren who just moved into town with his mum, and him trying to get back the joy and fun dancing.

Now, I know this sounds crazy but I want in not knowing anything about the show. So after hearing some classic songs especially the ones that I grown up just loving, like footloose, I can't stand still, holding out for a hero, and let's here it for the boys.

Joshua Dowan  plays the lead of Ten McCormack and he is one of the reason what make me want to go to the theatre and why I love seeing musicals live on stage. His presence on stage was amazing, as you can feel every word that he spoke and sang. There was time that I thought I was in the town of Bomont.

Dominic Gee Burch played Willard who would of played by Gareth Gates. I am grateful that it was Dominic instead. As I personally think he a better singer then he, and he was amazing portraying the awkwardness and shyness of Willard.

Gracie Lai plays the Flirty and popular character of Urleen. She was outstanding, I truly loved watching her on stage. She brings beauty, with her stunning looks, and her great personality on and off stage.

I wish I could write for all the cast but then I be here all day. So overall I give the show a full 5 out 5 stars.

Movie Review: Veronica Mars [Emz]

Wednesday, 23 August 2017

So Veronica Mars... I absolutely loved the series. I was really sad when the show ended after season 3. But when it was decided to plan a movie with money from fans through Kickstarter, I was over the moon.

The film was released on the 14th March 2014.

Here is the Plot summary:

With her graduation from law school imminent, Veronica Mars (Kristen Bell) is interviewing with prestigious New York law firms when she gets a call from ex-boyfriend Logan (Jason Dohring), who has been accused of murder. Veronica returns to Neptune to help Logan find a good defense attorney, but when she becomes suspicious of the way Logan's case is being handled, she finds herself being pulled back into a life she thought she had left behind: that of an amateur sleuth.

Review:

So where I live the film wasn't released at the cinema but I watch through my Virgin TV (On Demand)

So the story doesn't pick up straight after the end of the series as the actors are all a lot older, so the story pick up 9 years later.

With Veronica about to enter an job interview with a Law firm, she find out that her ex-boyfriend Logan is being accused of murdering his girlfriend.

If any one knows Veronica she can't stay out of detective work for long.

I really enjoyed seeing what had happened to the characters since the show had ended and how Veronica had tried to change her career.

Obviously she han't changed that much as she is still her sarcastic and snarky self. It was also great to see how her friends had grown as well.

I love this film and would happily watch it over and over again.

I would very happily give this film 10/10

 Till next time
