Movie Review: Tomorrowland [Emz]

I really like this film. But it took me a while to see the very end, I had to leave the cinema before the end as I had made other plans and they overlapped each other.

This has that Disney vibe to it (which is just as well as its made by Disney) 

The film stars George Clooney, Britt Robertson and Hugh Laurie.

Here is the Premise:

A former boy genius (George Clooney) and gifted teenager (Britt Robertson) set out on a dangerous mission to unearth the secrets of "Tomorrowland", an enigmatic location caught between time and space.

Review

I loved this film. Once i got to see the film to the very end it all tied together. The way they created another world and we get a glimpse of what it looks like before things get a lot worse.

It was strange seeing George Clooney in this film but I liked the character and the way we first meet him when he was younger. Also the way we meet Britt's character. Both characters are very creative and inventive.

I liked the concept of giving the kids a taster of Tomorrowland before they go. We see this with Casey (Britt Robertson) it's very  funny to watch though as she ends up in a huge lake.

This a film for many ages groups and is definitely one to watch.

TV Review: 12 Monkeys Season 1 Episode 2: "Mentally Divergent" [Emz]

So this is the second episode of the first season of 12 Monkeys. I may only be 2 episodes in but i'm enjoying taking my time with this show. 

Here is the Premise:

A patient in a mental institution may hold the key to the plague that destroys the world; Dr. Railly risks her life to help Cole, despite the risk to history.

Review:

This episode introduces more characters and how they play a part in the Virus being released/ being created. I liked the way that Cole is meant to be transported back to 2015 again but they get the coordinates wrong and he ends up in North Korea in 2006 (reminds me a little of Doctor Who.) Also the way all the new characters are introduced is brilliant as some of them pop up with no name or background story and yoou are left wondering who the person is.

I really look forward to continuing with this show.

Julius Caesar at crucible theatre (Zee Tay)

I had the honour of watching Julius Caesar at the theatre and not any one but the crucible in Sheffield. Now I love going to the theatre but when I go I mainly choose musicals, so I thought that now might be a good experience to try out Shakespeare. Know I already knew a bit about Julius Caesar from history classes. Apart from that I knew very little about the plot.

On the day that I want was on the 22nd of May 2017 which any of you been keeping up with the news was the day of the Manchester attack at Ariana Granada concert. I was planning to go to that concert on that night but by the time I got to the site it was sold out. Thankfully for my sake that it was sold out, because I the had the chance to watch the amazing production directed by Robert Hestie instead.

I love all the cast from Samuel West and Arthur Hughes to Pandora Colin and Robinah Kironde. All the man look hot in uniform when it can to the second act which one of the ensemble agreed with me on. She was mainly was talking about Elliot Cowan. Which made us both start busting out with laughter another ensemble said we sound like Mrs brown and Winnie from Mrs Brown's boys. Which we kind of did on the last night. I was mainly thinking about someone else in uniform.

Everyone was so friendly which is a nice change from when I want to the theatre in Leicester as actors here spend time to talk to you and get more then a autograph or a picture. Which I really appreciated because I think that apart of going to the theatre. It shows us that they are willing to spend times with their fans.

Thank you everyone in the cast and the ensemble for making my first Shakespeare play a memorial one. Thanks Elliot for coming out still in costume to give me your autograph I was trying to get it from about 4:30. Thanks Arthur, Royce, Lily, Robinah and everyone else for being amazing. I love you all.

And Allison the honour all mine. It was a honour of watching you and then meeting you.

Movie Reviews: Cinderella 2015 (Zee Tay)

Title: Cinderella

Cast: Lily James, Helena Bonham Carter, Richard Madden, Care Blachett, Holiday Granger, Sophie McShera, Hayley Atwell, Ben Chaplin, Rob Brydon.

Plot: Cinderella follow the story of a young girl called Ella who is a kind hearted, brave, as she always remembered her promise to her mother to be kind and be brave. One day her father remarried, and with that she gained a step mother and two stepsister. One day her father got really Ill on travels and sadly passed away. Leaving poor Ella an orphan. Her stepmother and stepsister took fool advantage of her making her into a servant. One day she got sick and tried of how they was treating her so she ran away on her travel. She mat the prince. The prince fall in love and hoping to meet her again, hense he open the ball invitation to the whole kingdom. Hoping that we come.

Review:

I seen quite a few version of this classic Disney story, some of which are more Grimm then other. So in a way I am so thankful that this isn't grim. I really enjoy this version as it shows the relationship between the Prince and his father. I really enjoyed seeing that because we always forces on Cinderella family relationship. With watching a few other version of the story made me realise that even though it well put together, doesn't bring anything new to the table. It was like watching the animation but live action instead.
